Sanitation/Building Supervisor

Reports to:   Maintenance/Facilities Manager

Summary:

Plans and works on all sanitation and facility activities required in the plant. Coordinates the activities of the sanitation workers and makes sure all buildings and equipment are properly maintained.

• Maintains equipment and facilities as needed.
• Coordinate personnel staffing and establish schedules as needed to accomplish the building Maintenance and Sanitation needs on three shifts.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate sanitation schedules activities around other Departments.
• Confer with management, suppliers, and quality control personnel to resolve sanitation problems.
• Requisitions of quote and funds sanitation equipment and supplies.
• Recommend measures to improve sanitation methods and efficiencies.
• Plans and coordinates work, trains, motivates and evaluates performance of department employees.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Good supervisory skills.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation operations including Production equipment, Material Handling equipment, Electrical, PLCs, AC/DC motors and control, mechanical power transmissions, gear drives, speed ratios and a basic knowledge of general machine shop practices.
• Knowledge of building and grounds Maintenance and improvement.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written instructions, interprets documents such as safety rules, quality assurance regulations, MSDS sheets and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of management.
• Able to drive a forklift.
• Able to communicate with all level of employees.
• Class "C" drivers license.

• High school diploma or 3 years of related experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

• Able to lift 60 lbs
• Able to work flexible and extended hours as needed
