Product Info: Bing Cherries are the most flavorful variety of sweet cherries. They are a large, extra sweet cherry that turns a deep purple when ripe. Cherries are grown in twenty countries with the United States being the leader in production. Cherry trees are also famous for the beautiful white flowers which grace the trees in the spring. These flowers are a symbol of friendship; the Governor of Tokyo gave the famous cherry trees to Washington D.C. in 1912.No sulfites. Dried Bing Cherries are mechanically dried. Suggested Use: Dried fruits are very versatile. Use in baked goods, salads, sauces, stuffings, trail mixes, hot cereals, muffins, scones, fruit cakes and for homemade ice cream. Dried fruits may be eaten right out of the bag as a convenient and healthy snack. Mixed with granola and almonds or in a trail mix. Ingredients: Bing cherries. Cherries are a natural product and may contain an occasional pit. Basic Preparations: There is no preparation needed for dried fruit. If used in baking, you may want to rehydrate. To rehydrate dried fruit, pour boiling water over the fruit and let sit covered for 5 to 10 minutes. Drain well before using. |
