Product Info: This rich blend will add interest to any meal. Our Gourmet Blend includes a mixture of Spinach, Tomato, and Plain Orzo, Fregola Sarda (a toasted version of Israeli Couscous,) Chana Dal Peas, Red Chief Lentils, and Black Quinoa. It is simple to cook and provides a colorful splash on the plate. The Lentils and Fregola Sarda impart a satisfying nutty flavor along with the familiar pasta flavor and texture of the orzo. Suggested Use: This colorful blend serves as a unique side dish for any entree. Ingredients: Enriched durum flour(flour, niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamine, riboflavin), durum flour, split peas, lentils, black quinoa, spinach, tomato. (Contains wheat.) Basic Preparations: Bring 1 3/4 cups water or stock to a boil. Add one cup of Gourmet Pasta Legume Blend. Lower heat to simmer, covered for 18 minutes. Allow product to rest, covered for 3-5 minutes. Season and add oil or butter as desired. Yield about 2 cups. |
