Product Info:
Chestnuts are native to Southern Europe. The nuts grow two or three in a single husk. Chestnuts are low in protein and fat but high in carbohydrates; they also provide Vitamins B and E along with Potassium. Roasted Chestnut powder was the original powder used in making pasta within the Roman Empire. Our Roasted Chestnut powder is pale white and fine, made from the grinding of whole Chestnuts without their bitter skins.

Suggested Use:
Chestnut Powder can be used instead of Wheat Flour, or mixed with flour in baked goods. It adds a light nutty flavor to desserts, cakes, cookies and pie crusts. Use it to thicken puddings and sauces.

Ingredients:
Chestnuts. (Contains tree nuts).

Basic Preparations:
NO PREPARATION NEEDED, JUST ADD TO YOUR RECIPE AS CALLED FOR. Chestnut Powder can be used instead of WHEAT flour, or mixed with FLOUR IN BAKED GOODS.
